Pom pom - The Results

The response from residents has been phenomenal.  Thank you to all that have put in the effort.

There are a few remaining isolated pockets and even on cleared land you can expect some late growth.  Please don’t let up at this stage.  There is more herbicide available at the boom for anyone who needs it. 

However we still have a major infestation along the R512.  A final onslaught has been planned by Brea.  We are hoping to put together a maximum force work team to attack this area on Friday morning.  The idea is for residents who can provide staff to let Brea know.  The team will meet at the boom at 8 am and work through to 1.00.  Boerie rolls will be provided for the mid-morning break so that people do not have to go home.

If you can provide a staff member or two please let Brea know.  Please advise if you can provide Back pack sprayers as the infestation is so dense as to require blanket treatment.  Pangas will also be useful as if we have enough people we can do syringas and ‘reaching for heaven’ at the same time.  Anyone who can help Brea with the supervision and moving staff to work points along the road through the morning, topping up water supply etc please let Brea know – she’ll need all the help she can get.    083 616 0528   Brea@niftycp.co.za
